Hello there,
On this channel, you'll find drum clips, orchestral music mockups, videos of live prog-jazz gigs and a bunch of other stuff completely unrelated to the ones previously mentioned. That's mainly due to the fact that I've pursued a rather diverse collection of activities and after 30 odd years I'm still at it.
Anyway, hope you like what you see and in case you have any questions, give us a shout.

Beyond Earth "Concert Overture" (Geoff Knorr's themes)
Переглядів 4065 років тому
I think Geoff Knorr's work in Beyond Earth was nothing less than monumental but as my gaming hours started piling up something strange happened. You see my musical appetite wasn't satisfied by the "fragmented" manner those haunting, majestic themes kept popping up during the game and so I decided to do something about it. I picked my four favourites and after some surgical editing, arranged the...
Jon Lord "Concerto for group and orchestra" HYBRID VERSION!!
Переглядів 3946 років тому
After some serious Cubase wizardry and 49 edit points, I was able to seamlessly combine what I thought were the best parts of the original live and 2012 studio versions of Jon Lord's masterpiece. In that way, the tremendous drive of the Purple performance is maintained whereas certain orchestral parts that were underrehearsed in the '69 version are substituted by the technically more accurate 2...

THE BLACK PAGE part 1 (w/score)
Переглядів 19 тис.8 років тому
This is an adaptation of Zappa's landmark composition. It has a slightly different orchestration, some harmony appears from the middle onward and, most importantly, it is not approached as a "precomposed drum set score" but as a musical piece interpreted by the drummer, staying true to the rhythmic values. I think this approach brings out the wonderful, eerie music of the Black page and reminds...
THE BLACK PAGE part 2

This is the "Easy, New York teenager version" of the Black page which, in many ways, is harder to play than the notorious first part. In this arrangement, I changed the instrumentation a bit and also added some percussion here and there. The Turkish chifteteli beat at 3:01 is a bow to Zappa's relentless sense of humour. To skip the intro vamp click here 1:03. Live take, no edits.

A nostalgic Galliard that turns abruptly into a 6/8 rock feel and then returns to the Renaissance, is my musical depiction of what I got out of watching this pretty amazing series.

Rambo is the Man....
Right out of the gate, Miles is on fire. And young Tony...I get the feeling that Tony was still.mee to the band, and that Miles was energized by what he was doing.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I was thinking “ why do those guys need charts for Stratus?” Then I heard the arrangement.
There are lots of recordings and a few videos of that tour, and the band sounded different every night.
Miles n Shorter duble FANTAZY
Great bop! Saw all except Miles later, in V.S.O.P.; Tony in Lifetime; & Wayne in Weather Report!
I found Billy's BEST hits LP on grp records at the Goodwill last year and I will definitely get around to giving it a listen especially since I don't have a good turntable on hand.
Shorter is great It helps having that rhythm section
Realmente impresionante Lo amo Los amo Tony❤
Miles 2nd Quintet was a Jem! The gift that keeps on giving.

My freshman year at North Texas State . Heavy listening to this album. So many dimensions. Was cool to later see Sancious, Cobham, Jack Bruce, and Clem Clempson on SNL. Thanks for posting!

Best drummer in Greece to say the least.
One of the greatest jazz bands in the history of jazz music
The surprise here is the keyboardist. Amazing.
You can see the beauty of improvisation in these musics. Love it❤

No…. Where’s Billy’s drum kit?
I will never tire of this. Rest In Peace, Wayne Shorter.

This is really good fusion -- there was a lot of not very good fusion back in the day. I have always wondered ("always" since 1975) if Springsteen would have taken a different direction had David and Ernest Carter stayed with him? Probably not -- Springsteen was very supportive of David over the years, but they were different artists with their own vision. But I thought Springsteen's work with David backing him was his best, musically speaking.
Εξαιρετικό!
Incredible. Frank would have loved to hear this take.
Amazing! Simply Amazing!
Fabulous!
Un grand merci pour cette merveille
Jazz Masters at their best! At the 25:00 min mark, I think this is the Best recording of Gingerbread Boy! You be the judge!
Lucky enough to see him in NJ in the 70's... My fathers place and in NYC. One of the Most Significant composers & multi talented musician of our time. I think I have memorized every note of Forest of feeling and Transformation (Speed of love)
A masterful confab of Wizards in a skull session on another channel in a fluent flux of hipness!!!!
👍
This late acoustic Quintet is what I love most from Miles.. Bitchs Brew ? yawn...
Love that too. Not everyone can follow a genius on their entire journey.
@@summertyme5748 I read his autobiography like thousand times.. and it confirmed to me my gut feeling.. At that era, he was mostly out of musical ideas, and very jealous of commercial success others enjoyed. So he tried all he could to get there too. For me, it never worked. I have all his albums... You can call it genius´entire journey.. and I can respect that. But no love here, sorry.. we are all different, right ? 🙃
This was done over 45 years you Keyboard fans. There’s more to music than Sherinian and Rudess guys. Where do you think they got it all from?

Who are others musiciens in band please
Per Gade/guitar, Marcos Ubeda/ keys, Stephan Rademacher/ bass, Junior Gill/ percussion
Thank you for posting this! I burnt this tape and LP out. Earnest Carter is an amazing drummer! Davids screaming synth leads! I have tried for years to find this! Peace from Detroit MI. THANK YOU !
Max Roach will always be my favorite drummer. But, man, Tony Williams never fail to amaze me.
Yes, I know what you mean.

Thank you!
Bought this for 99 cents in the cut out bin along with the David Sancious LP and Gentle Giant's Free Hand Lp (all for $3 total). Best money I ever spent back in 1976 at the Frankfurt PX. I immeditely recorded these 3 Lps on my reel to reel and would go to sleep with them playing until the deck turned them off at the end of the tape. There were others such at 11th House and Herbie Hancock, but these 3 were and still are my favorites.
Their European concerts were just astounding...you'll never see this again, ever.
